An unusual message from the North Sound Blog writer

Every month, Dr. Simcock and I have a phone call to discuss what he wants to share on his next blog. Our talks go well beyond the confines of interviewer and interviewee. He shares his philosophies too.  Our weekly conversations are so rich – always about the work we do together but often about life, happiness, the importance of friends and family, things we have read, and more.

When he talks about his work, his passion shines. His entire practice is designed for a patient’s safety, comfort, relaxation and extraordinary results.  He is not unaware that most people wince at the words, “You need a root canal,” but he is on a mission to dispel the fear that often crops up. Truly I would refer him to anyone I knew in his community because I know what great care he takes of his patients and all the people in his life.

I can’t be a patient of his because I live in San Francisco or I certainly would go to him if I needed a root canal or any procedure he offers.  What I thought would be useful to you, a prospective patient or general dentist, is to share a few thoughts of my own about a man I have come to respect, admire and truly like.

He is kind, observant, deep-thinking – a compassionate human being that has a kind of ease and humor that is so rate in this world.  He is a husband, father, musician, fitness enthusiast and a man who enjoys life to the fullest. He tells me he learned much about life from his mentor, Kendrick Mercer, who emphasized living with grace and caring for others. Dr. Simcock learned that lesson well. Hard as he works, he always takes time to smell the roses.
